Even though the free tickets for our Friday show are 'sold out,' the Lied is encouraging patrons to come to the show anyway. Staff members will do their best to get you in, as there are always 'no shows.'

This event is officially Sold Out...BUT the Lied box office and staff have informed us to continue to invite people, as they will find seats for guests not holding tickets. Apparently, they always have ticket holders not show up, leaving available seating, especially at free events. Please continue to encourage your friends/family to attend!
TaikoProject is scheduled to play multiple times at this year's Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island, NE. The group has been featured in both the 2009 Academy Awards and the 2011 Grammy Awards.

Weekly, Los Angeles, California In celebration of 25 years, the Lied Center for Performing Arts will be showcasing two nights of Nebraska talent from Sept. 4-5, 2014. Events start at 7pm on both nights, and performances will include music, theater, and dance. Kokyo Taiko will be taking the stage on Fri, Sept 5, along with 5 other groups. The event is FREE, but tickets are limited. Contact the ticket office at (402) 472-4747 to reserve your tickets starting Aug. 19. Click here for more information. We hope to see you there! Kokyo will be making noise for the runners this Sunday at two locations: 16th & Vine St. (6:45 - 8:00 AM) and at the corner of Salt Creek Roadway & Antelope Valley Parkway (apprx. 8:30 - 10:30 AM). http://www.lincolnmarathon.org/course/ Kokyo Taiko will be performing from 4:30-5pm this Saturday (April 12, 2014) in Manhattan, KS. Admission is free.
Attend this worthwhile event to have a chance to get a gift certificate for taiko lessons! On Tuesday, December 3rd, support the Lincoln Asian Community and Cultural Center with an evening of food and entertainment. All proceeds will go toward the Asian Center and its programs. The dinner will take place at Imperial Palace, 701 N. 27th Street. Tickets are $50 each. Sponsorship opportunities and reserved group seating are available. Celebrating the history, people and culture of Japan, the Omaha Sister Cities Association and Lauritzen Gardens will host the Japanese Ambience Festival, with a variety of activities for the whole family. Festival features include:
